Mary Samide
Mary Samide is the founder and CEO of S.O.S. Inc. a computer network installation firm located in Munson Township. In addition to the business Mary was a County Commissioner from 2004-2014 and a Munson Trustee for 1995-2004.
As a Geauga County Commissioner:
- Eliminated the 14.7 million dollar debt on the safety center
- Achieved an AA+1 rating with Moodys
- Received the highest awards with distinction from the State Auditor for 11 years
- Operated efficiently as best run county in the State of Ohio
- Negotiated and purchased 35 acres for future county offices
As a Munson Township Trustee:
- Paved all the roads in Munson
- Built a computer infrastructure
- Designed the first township website in Geauga County
- Bought two township park sites along with a new cemetery
- Supported and signed documents with the Fire Department that enabled Munson to have a split 3/6 ISO rating that lowered fire insurance across the township
- Implemented the first township land-use plan for Munson Township
- Worked on the Geauga County planning commission helping too keep Munson Township rural with zoning
